Well, the moment you've all been waiting for! I'm finally blogging!!!!!!!! What can I say? Being a teacher in the summer is about the best thing ever, and I've been busy. However, I have plenty of photos for your viewing enjoyment that will prove I have actually been doing some things! Productive? Not so much! Fun? Heck yes!
For those long lost friends of mine that don't know, I got married to the cutest man alive! His name is Daniel. He is also a teacher/coach, so we've both been off this summer! Perhaps he'll come in as a guest writer from time to time...but don't hold your breath!
I guess I'll just begin my new blogging career with some photos from our summer adventures.

To begin the summer, we visited Red River, New Mexico. We have some sweet friends there that own a beautiful log cabin. We stayed a few days there with them to escape the Texas heat. There, we just hung out and Daniel did LOTS of fishing. We also rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain. We did some hiking as well. If you know me, you know this isn't really my favorite type of activity...but I took one for the team and did it anyway! Lots of fun!

Here we are at the top of the ski area.

Daniel and his beautiful Rainbow Trout!

And here we are on our little hiking trip! Beautiful waterfall!

This is the view at the top of the mountain. It's Middlefork Lake and it's gorgeous!

Trip number two was to visit Daniel's family in the land of the Villes. By that I mean we visited Mauriceville, Kirbyville, and Deweyville. For those that aren't familiar with the Villes, these towns are located between Orange and Beaumont, Texas. It's lots of fun to go visit the in-laws. They always have lots for us to do and usually spoil us pretty good while we're there. This time around we watched and shot our own fireworks, picked vegetables from the garden, played some golf in the pasture and played with the cows. Daniel's parents have some land where they grow all sorts of things and raise cows. Here are some photos to document

This is me after I picked my first watermelon. It was yummy, too!

Daniel and his mom getting ready to pull some new potatos out of the ground!

And me pulling potatoes, too!
Me getting some kisses from a few of my friends. They're so cute. I love them!

Just a little bullfight...no worries. There were no injuries. Just gotta know who's boss!

And, this is Georgia. She's Daniel's lab that now lives with his parents because they love her too much to give her back. She's a keeper!

Ok, I'm getting tired. So, stay tuned for our last trip of the summer. We just returned from Jamaica. We had a postponed honeymoon. I'll blog about that in a few days...and have lots of pics to share! Off to bed...goodnight! Thanks for reading!
